Red Moroccan clay, also known as Rhassoul clay, has been mined from the Atlas Mountain region of Morocco. One of the most popular clays for facial masks is red powder clay, or Rhassoul.
Originating from Morocco, the clay has a silky earth texture when refined. Moroccan clay is high in naturally-occurring Dolomite, Silica, Ferric Oxide and mineral oxides, and is oily, mildly absorbent, and effective in skin cleansing and detoxifying. This mineral rich clay has been used by Moroccan women to enhance skin and hair for centuries. This is also the clay which were used to prepare cleansing body wraps in Turkish baths.
Moroccan Clay has a number of outstanding benefits for example it contains the highest content of silica, magnesium, potassium and calcium, which are the very good ingredients for nourishing skin.
Our Moroccan clay powder can be used as an excellent facial cleanser, purifying mask, shampoo, and body mask. Our clays do not contain any synthetic dyes or pigments and are not processed using any chemical means.
Active clays are rich in minerals and trace elements and offer a wide variety of applications in cosmetics and treatments and all clays help to remove toxins and purify the skin.
All our clays are totally natural and can be used alone, or blended together, and you can create gorgeous, naturally coloured soaps using a combination of all our clays or just this clay alone. You can blend any of our clays and colourants together to create a vast pallette of natural and unique colours for your products.
Suggested Product Usage Rates:
Spa use: Facial, Body and Capillary masks - In combination with other powders within a formula - between 10 and 30%
Spa use: Facial and Body Muds - In combination with other powders within a formula - between 5 and 25%
Liquid Soaps and Shampoo: 2 - 10%
Soap Spa Bars for deep cleansing: 5 - 20%
To use in regular Soap Bars as a Colourant:
Cold Processed Soap: 1 dessertspoon to 1 tablespoon per kilo of soap (swirling will use less). Mix into a slurry with some water, Sodium Lactate Plus or thinly traced soap before adding to soap prior to Fragrance or Essential Oils. Hydrate well before use.
Melt & Pour Soap: 1 teaspoon per 500g of soap base (all types). Mix the clay to a slurry or paste with some water, Glycerine or Sodium Lactate Plus and gently stir into the melted soap. Hydrate well before use.

We do not accept returns for incorrect choices or a change of mind. Items returned must be unused and in the same condition as received. Buyer to pay return postage. This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer.
The stability & nature of our products may be altered depending on storage conditions, or when used in combination with other ingredients. This is beyond our control & we strongly recommend lab tests prior to commercial runs. CEHbyangel cannot accept any liability in this regard.
Also, we are not responsible for the refund if the items such as butters that have been melted because of the hot weather during the delivery. For example, the melting point of Shea Butter is 28 – 34°C, so it is very possible that you would receive a soft or melted butter if you choose to buy and get delivery in summer time. Each package is carefully sealed so leaking should not occur. For any melt happens, please do not open the package and simply put it in the fridge to regain its solid state.
